I was released from the emergency room at a contracted hospital for heart problems. I was told by the attending that I needed to see my Kaiser primary and a cardiologist within 1-2 days. I called the next day for appointments, and was told I could see my primary in 6 weeks, and 5 weeks for my Cardiologist. I explained the emergency room situation and was told "sorry, these are the closest... Read more

I had a problem with frequent urination that grew progressively worse over the course of 3 years. I brought this up to my primary care physician during every visit. She was convinced that it was a urinary infection. She prescribed medication at times that did not help or she did nothing. My wife asked my doctor if it was a prostate issue. My physician said no. I retired with my wife in Guatemala.... Read more

My husband, who is 66 and recently disabled, had a massive heart attack a few days after we moved to Oakland in June. He was shipped to San Francisco for surgery, which went well enough, and then to a Skilled Nursing Facility. I visited every day at both Kaiser SF and at the SNF and thought his care was adequate and at times more than adequate. After his release he had trouble breathing because... Read more

For one the nurse did nothing for me but take my blood pressure at the station asking me for my weight & height LAZY !! Then the doc comes in a does nothing as we'll asks me some questions then... My husband and I have had Kaiser for nine years. The first eight years I've had issues with the doctors and the care for various reasons, most I was able to deal with and switched doctors until I found one that took me seriously. Then the doctor I'd finally found and loved decided to go elsewhere, this happened repeatedly so I've been forced to do this several times. I now have a PCP that is... Read more

Kaiser Permanente is terribly organized, cares little for customer satisfaction, and appears to want to take money from those who cannot afford better health plans. So much for "non-profit". Back in March, I submitted a request for a health plan to start May 1st. I mailed the check in early April, and Kaiser Permanente cashed it on the 8th. I never received an enrollment package, so I called at... Read more

Having been treated for depression, anxiety, and sleeplessness utilizing a roulette wheel style of psych pharmaceutical experimentation over the course of a decade has proven to be a crushing experience for this KP member. The matter has finally brought this KP member to the brink of financial ruin and in the throes of an insurmountable and exasperated mental health state toward which KP in No CA... Read more

Been on kasier my whole life and in the last two years things have gotten bad. Long waits at every office visit and pharmacy pick up no matter if they are busy or not. Need to see a specialist? Get ready for the earliest appointment to be at least a month out. Want a certain day and time? Be ready for 6 weeks. Late to an appointment because of long check in lines and broken elevators (at the... Read more

I don't get this insurance or network at all, I literally pay thousands a year for the top Kaiser policy and after suffering a week and half I still can't get an URGENT care appointment? They just say "oh we are busy" How is this Urgent care, at this point it's NO care. I'm forced now to shell out of pocket to see a budget CVS min Clinic doctor to simply get a z pack for my sinus infection.... Read more

I am a former cancer patient who has been turned away from being able to see my ENT after two visits to the ER. I was told my insurance was cancelled but never received any correspondence from Kaiser. I'm in my second year of remission but I still need scans, constant checkups and blood work. I have called several...several times to pay whatever premium is required but they will not take the... Read more
