I have been PRO Kaiser for years. Last year I needed a total knee replacement (Feb 2014) and I was sent out to an Orthopedic Surgeon who does not work for Kaiser. After the operation, I had to ask this doctor every other day for physical therapy, finally 3 weeks later he sent be for physical therapy. After six weeks I still did not have full movement of my leg, I could bend my knee to 72°... Read more

Someone had asked me from this site what Dr. I go to because they can bo longer get any meds & at keast my doctor prescribes some. I would not only do that for obvuous reasons, but would also mean I am recommending Kaiser & giving them more business & they can't take of the patients they have. They simoly don't have a plan for mant things, therefore hiw can they say I have a... Read more

My husband is experiencing unexplained paralysis in his legs which is progressively worsening on a daily basis. His Neurosurgeon issued an "Emergency Referral" to a Neurologist & for additional MRIs as recent MRI reflects fluid/inflammation in the spinal cord. First available appt with Neurologist is 25 days out. I can only presume that a non-emergency referral would extend appointments... Read more

Who did it? Kaiser or the Office of Civil Rights? Seems that one or both have taken my emails for the HIPPA violations filed in 2012 January 19th in my Kaiser account online with February's 2012. I do not know what day month or year they went missing. The reason I checked these two emails that were missing is when I found out that Kaiser had canceled my appointment on January 19th 2012 where I... Read more

With a broken collar bone requiring surgery (per emergency room Dr. And x Rays) they wouldn't allow me to be scheduled with an Orthopedic doctor for even a consult for over 4 days. Add comment

Kaiser picked the two most affluent Islands in Hawaii while only offering services to the employed and affluent on the Big Island of Hawaii while refusing care to the most disparaged group of people in the United States with respect to health-care. Kaiser receives State Medicaid and Federal Funds but opts to not offer services to a class and geographic group of people due to both race and income.... Read more

Cancelled all Specialist contracts after open enrollment. Won't allow second opinions outside their 4 walls. They don't care if you don't agree with their doctor. Their Specialist are now an hour away 50+ miles round trip. Tjey no longer have X-ray facility at my location. No warning. They don't care! Add comment

I have had the exact same thing happen to me. Last year, I was told my Portland/Vancouver, Washington Kaiser was no longer going to carry oxycontin anymore, (which after a year of my primary and I trying everything else was the only thing that worked for me) they are still prescribing oxycontin. There is 1 lie. They told me I would have to switch to dilaudid. My pain management Dr. Who I have... Read more

You are at a disadvantage with Kaiser Permanente. They do not have the latest knee replacement surgery. You will have to go through a harder surgery because they do not offer the new "custom" full knee replacement surgery which is easier on the patient and a quicker recovery time. Kaiser is a second rate insurance company and you do not have the same quality care because it costs less. Obama care... Read more
